Done is Better Than Perfect

Done is better than perfect is a motto a former consulting buddy of mine (shout out Calvin Cheng) used to remind me of all the time

We agonize over the last details and worry it is not perfect and this is a blocker to getting stuff done or even getting started

This is one of the biggest barriers for folks looking to exit corporate but they don’t think they can because they don’t have the perfect escape plan

I hear “I can’t go solo because I don’t have a great name for my business or even a website”

I am here to tell you that you don’t need all of that to get started

I wish I had followed Calvin’s advice earlier in my escape journey but I eventually figured it out

It is about your network and relationships, especially as a solo business owner

Spoiler alert, I have a fellow escapee coming on a future episode of the pod that has built a growing fractional solo business- without a website or even a company name. 

Don’t get me wrong, you do need a plan and a goal but don’t get paralyzed trying to be perfect.
